Family Safety

Terms of Service

These terms describe the basis on which Family Safety is offered.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Family Safety, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility and parent or guardian use

Family Safety is intended for use by an adult parent or guardian who is responsible for the family account.

3. Family accounts

A family account may contain child profiles and protection preferences. The account holder is responsible for who is invited to manage the family.

4. Service description

Family Safety provides tools to set family protection preferences, understand supported internet-safety signals and receive relevant notifications.

5. Home Protection

Home Protection helps apply supported internet-safety preferences at home and provides supported activity signals.

Until Home Protection is connected, preferences you set are saved but not enforced, and the application shows this clearly.

6. Family AI

Family AI provides assistance and informational guidance based on the information available for your family.

Family AI can make mistakes and should not be treated as definitive proof of a child's behaviour or intent.

Protection changes proposed by Family AI require your confirmation before they are applied.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use the service unlawfully, to harass or harm another person, to attempt to access another family's information, or to interfere with the service.

8. Subscriptions and payments

Paid plans are not yet active. When subscriptions become available, the applicable prices, billing periods and cancellation terms will be presented before purchase.

9. Trials

If a trial is offered in the future, its length and conditions will be shown at the time it is offered.

10. Service availability

We work to keep the service available and effective, but internet protection has technical limitations.

We do not promise that every harmful site will be blocked, that every threat will be detected, that every category will be classified correctly, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

11. Third-party services

The service may rely on third parties, and your home internet connection and devices are provided by others. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

12. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your account secure, for the accuracy of the information you enter, and for the decisions you make about your family.

Family Safety is a tool to help families make informed digital-safety decisions. It supports parenting; it does not replace it.

13. Intellectual property

The service, including its software, design and content, remains the property of its owner. You are given a limited right to use the service.

14. Privacy

Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an as-is basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.

16. Limitation of liability

The limitation of liability applicable to the service will be set out here following legal review for each market we serve.

17. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access where the service is misused or where required by law. You can stop using the service at any time.

18. Changes

We may update these terms as the service develops. The version and last-updated date shown at the top of this page reflect the current text.

19. Governing law

The governing law and the venue for disputes will be published here for each market once confirmed.

20. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through our contact form.
