1. Introduction

Family Safety helps parents protect and understand their family's internet activity at home. This policy describes how we handle information in connection with the service.

It applies to the Family Safety website and application.

2. Who we are

Family Safety is the service described on this website. Operator identity details are published on our Legal Notice page once they are finalised.

3. Information you provide

Account information such as your name, email address, preferred language and country.

Messages you send us through the contact form.

4. Family and child profile information

The family and child profiles you create, including names or nicknames you choose, approximate age group and the protection preferences you set.

You decide what to enter. You do not need to use a child's full legal name.

5. Protection and activity information

Where Home Protection is connected and supported, Family Safety processes signals about internet activity on your home network, such as the category of a request and whether it was blocked.

Family Safety does not read the content of private, encrypted conversations.

6. Technical information

Basic technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as authentication data and application error information.

7. Family AI data processing

When you use Family AI, the relevant information needed to answer your question or produce a summary is processed to generate a response.

Family AI is designed to work from the information Family Safety actually holds for your family, and not to invent activity.

Family AI does not apply protection changes on its own; a parent confirms them.

8. Notification information

We keep the notifications generated for your family, your notification preferences and quiet hours, so we can deliver them according to your choices.

Notification copy is written to describe what matters without exposing private content.

9. Contact and support information

When you contact us, we keep your message and contact details so we can respond and keep a record of the request.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar local storage to keep the service working and to remember your preferences. Optional categories are only used with your permission where that is required.

Our Cookie Policy explains the categories in detail and you can change your choices at any time.

11. Why information is used

To provide the service you have asked for, including protection preferences, activity insights and notifications.

To keep accounts and the service secure.

To respond to your requests.

To improve and maintain the service.

12. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information.

Information may be shared with service providers who help us operate the service, and where we are required to do so by law.

13. Service providers

We publish the providers that process information on our behalf once those arrangements are finalised. We do not list providers we have not confirmed.

14. International processing and transfers

The service may be operated using infrastructure located in more than one country. Where information is processed in another country, we take steps intended to protect it appropriately.

15. Retention

We keep information only for as long as needed for the service, security, legal obligations and the purposes described in this policy.

16. Security

Access to the application requires authentication, family-level access controls separate one family's information from another, and permissions follow each account's role.

No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to protect information appropriately.

17. Children and family accounts

Family Safety is intended to be used by a parent or guardian, who creates and manages the family account.

Child profiles exist so a parent can manage protection preferences and understand supported activity. Requirements relating to children's information differ by country and this section will be expanded with market-specific information once confirmed.

18. Parent and guardian responsibilities

You are responsible for the information you enter about your family and for using the service in a way that is appropriate for your family.

We encourage families to talk openly about online safety rather than using the service secretly.

19. Your privacy choices and rights

You can update your account and family information in the application, adjust notification preferences and quiet hours, and change cookie choices at any time.

You can contact us with a privacy or data request and we will handle it according to the requirements that apply.

20. Country-specific information

Additional information for specific countries will be published here as it is confirmed for each market we serve.

21. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service develops. The version and last-updated date at the top of this page always reflect the current text.

22. Contact information
